When I think of the style icons this outfit takes me back to, I think of Barbara Eden (the later "I Dream" seasons,) Barbara Streisand, and my mother's years- ago close friend, Laurel Cavanaugh (forgive sp?) .. oh, and my mom's favorite red belt with the clasping hands that I can still see so clearly to this day. Other thoughts come up too, when I least expect them. Today's outfit plucked a special heartstring for me. It brings me back to a younger time -  my earliest years, but it could have been what I imagined someone else's formative adult years to be. I simply flew over memories and thoughts and watched them from above.

For you it might be a trigger for that stylishly fabulous era from old Sunday afternoon movies on the cable free channels, or perhaps that indifferent high school girl that was so cool and seemed so rude (which kind of helped with the cool-factor) to you 6th graders. If it ain't today's homage of style, it'll hit you some time .. you'll see. Either way, it's beautiful ... and introducing of thoughts

Today, we'd like to focus on the more Sensual side of the "70's - beautiful, soft lines; simple, flowing fabrics that enhance the figure of the woman who is proud to be what she is and who she is. A woman who knows she is beautiful. Now that's a style well worth paying homage to!

Ah, the '50's! Seems like such a wonderful time: Happy, fun, playful ... when music meant everything, folk were friendly, boys were slick and girls were so very very "girly" - no wonder we always look on that nostalgic time with so much joy, and why we keep going back to those '50's inspired fashions again and again ... because they make us happy, and they make us look fantastic! Today's ensemble is all about '50s flavored fun: frisky, very female, definitely coquettish and ready to drop everything and start dancing to the next great tune that comes along. Hey, why not bring the fabulous flavor of that era into your work fashion? It's undoubtedly beautiful and can't help but bring a smile to the lips of everyone's inner James Dean, Carey Grant, Grace Kelly and Marilyn Monroe. They'll love the way you look ... and so will you!

Just because it's "Down to Business" time doesn't mean you have to be anything less than looking your usual fantastic - in fact, Business Attire-Chic can be one of the all-time sexiest looks there is. The trick is to know how to rock it. You never want to look too over-the-top or garish. The idea is to smoke and smolder. It used to be that women who were successful in the business world had to dress in a more manly and much more reserved fashion in order to fit in to the mans world, and not rattle any more cages than necessary.
