It's good to bring a particular color into focus and encircle everything around it. Hot Pink is definitely a color worth celebrating. The color Pink is meant to be the softer side of red. It's bubblegum, dollies and little girls. It's the charming side of romance ... ok, well ... yeah, that may be true but we're talking about HOT Pink - just the term in itself should arouse some "sex-picion". Take romance and multiply it times 100 and you've got Hot Pink!!! It's worn by the gal that doesn't wait to be asked to dance. If she wears her nails long, it's for more than just looks. She's bold. Rule number one is that you have to work hard to find the right tones of black in clothing. Black is always OK to wear on skirts and trousers. If you have a black jacket with a fantastic cut, even if the color isn't exactly right, you can always brighten it up with a gorgeous scarf or shawl in the colors such as multiple shades of green (particularly jewel and turquoise,) oranges and of course purples. The same rule for black holds true for bright red, navy and pink. They're not necessarily on the the no-no list, but unless you have run across that perfect tone of these colors, they should probably be avoided. Earth tones such as dark and olive greens, beiges, browns, golds, camel and even orange reds are safer bets, but watch out that they don't have too much yellow for your skin tone.
