Patagonia, a company that has been around for over 30 years, was an equipment company, originally founded by Yvon Chouinard, exclusively for mountain/rock climbers. As the word about the company grew, so did the concept that there was more to climbing equipment besides ropes and pitons. Today, Patagonia specializes in a variety of outdoor clothing that is designed, not only for bearing the elements of the great outdoors, but to work along with it to help preserve our natural resources. Their mission statement: To "Build the best product, cause no unnecessary harm, use business to inspire and implement solutions to the environmental crisis," as well as their dedication to promoting Fair Labor and Environmental protection, has made Patagonia one of the first leaders of environmentalism in the Outdoor Fashion World. This concept of decreasing our carbon footprint whilst designing an ever evolving line of activity-based clothing that will keep it's wearer comfortable, fashionable and safe in all of nature's elements, is one that we, at Fashion Paradise, do proudly stand by.
